Ilya, amerikanischer Maler russischer Herkunft, * Sankt Petersburg 1. 7. 1907, ✝ (Selbstmord ?) New York 21. (?) 11. 1981; lebte ab 1923 in den USA. Nach figurativen Anfängen fand er unter dem Einfluss der Werke P. Mondrians zur geometrischen Abstraktion. Bolotowsky schrieb auch Theaterstücke.
